USA Functional Fitness has the following Committees:

  • Technical Committee
  • Medical Committee
  • Gender Equality Committee
  • Athletes’ Advisory Council
  • Adaptive Committee
  • Ethics Committee

All Committees report to the Board of Directors, and all Committee members have the right to attend Board meeting. It is the responsibility of the members of each of the Committees to support USAFF´s efforts to develop competitive functional fitness in the United States.

Athletes’ Advisory Council

The Athletes’ Advisory Council shall consist of five (5) members. The Athlete Director shall automatically serve as members of the AAC. The remaining four (4) AAC members shall either meet the qualifications to serve on governing boards as defined by the USOC or a current elite athlete in the sport.
Athletes Advisory Council: Four (4) Athletes’ Advisory Council positions are currently open for election at USAFF. If you are interested in being considered for one of these positions, please submit your name and a short bio to USAFF by July 31st 2017. On August 7th 2017, voting will be opened to all currently registered USAFF members. Each member may cast 4 votes for their top choices for the Athletes’ Advisory Council. Voting will close on September 1st 2017, and the winners will announced at the first Athletes’ Advisory Council Meeting. All interested athletes are invited to attend the first Council meeting, which will be held at USAFF Nationals in September (specific dates and time to be announced shortly). At this meeting, all athletes will be encouraged to give their opinions on the development of the sport and the issues of the sport which are important to them. At the conclusion of the meeting the Athletes’ Advisory Council Members will be announced.

Technical Committee

The Technical Committee supports the development of the sport. The Committee is advisory and submits Resolutions to the Board of Directors. It’s duties are:

  • To supervise the application of the Competition Rules and Operations’ Manual.
  • To prepare Resolutions concerning amendments to the Competition Rules and Operations’ Manual.
  • To propose Technical Delegates for official USAFF competitions.

Medical Committee

    • The Medical Committee is responsible for establishing conditions at USAFF-sanctioned competitions, which ensure the health and safety of all participants.
    • Controls all Anti-doping policies and activities of USAFF. Making sure that USAFF complies with the WADA code, USADA rules, and the IOC, USOC, and USAFF anti-doping rules.

Two (2) positions on the Medical Committee are available for election at USAFF. If you are interested in being considered for any of these positions, please submit your name, which position you are interested in, and a short bio to USAFF by July 31st 2017. On August 7th 2017, voting will be opened to all currently registered USAFF members. Each member may cast 1 vote for each open position. Voting will close on September 1st 2017, and the winners will announced on September 8th, 2017.

Gender Equality Committee

    • The Gender Equality Committee ensures equal opportunity for all in competitive functional fitness.
    • Promotes equal recognition and representation of both genders within the sport
    • Creates policy for integration of women in all competitions.

Two (2) positions on each of the Gender Equality Committee are available for election at USAFF. If you are interested in being considered for any of these positions, please submit your name, which position you are interested in, and a short bio to USAFF by July 31st 2017. On August 7th 2017, voting will be opened to all currently registered USAFF members. Each member may cast 1 vote for each open position. Voting will close on September 1st 2017, and the winners will announced on September 8th, 2017.

Adaptive Athlete Committee

    • Ensures compliance of competition with adaptive athlete accessibility
    • Represents Adaptive Athletes
    • Ensures compliance of USAFF with IPC standards

Two (2) positions on the Adaptive Committee are available for election at USAFF. Ethics Committee

The responsibility of the Ethics Committee is to enforces the USAFF Code of Ethics, and investigate this violations. The Committee is advisory and submits Resolutions to the Board of Directors. Two (2) positions on the Ethics Committee are available for election at USAFF.
