How To Qualify For Nationals

The USAFF Online Qualifier is one of the only ways to qualify to the USAFF National Championships in the Individual, Masters and Teen Divisions. It will also serve as a direct qualifiery for the International Functional Fitness Federation’s (IF3) Master’s World Championships.

Here’s what you need to know:

The USAFF online qualifier will take place be Feb 10th -March 11th, 2020.

On Feb 10th, all four events will be released on social media with full descriptions available on our website. 

You will have until March 11th, 2020 to complete and submit all four workouts to get a score for the USAFF 2020 Online Qualifier.

INDIVIDUALS:

At the conclusion of the online qualifier, the top 30 Individual Men, top 30 Individual Women,  will earn a spot to compete at USAFF Nationals.

MASTERS:

The top 3 Master’s Men and top 3 Master’s Women in all divisions will advance to Master’s World Championships in Lisbon, Portugal  from 1 – 7 October at the TFISA World Games.

TEENS:

The top 2 Individual Men and top 2 Individual Women, will earn a spot to compete at the IF3 World Championships in Abbortsford, Canada from 21-23 August.  

The Qualifier Tests

Test 1 & 2: Endurance & Strength presented by: RTC Fitness

Test 1:

12 minute AMRAP of

500M Row

20 burpee box jump overs (24/20)

Masters 50+; step up is authorized

Directly into

Test 2:

8 Minutes to establish 1 Rep max thruster

At the beginning of the test, the bar must be unloaded. Performing athlete must load their own bar and the lift must start from the floor.

Test 3: Body Weight presented by VetWOD

Ages 17 to 39

For Time 9 / 15 / 21 of

Bar muscle ups

Strict handstand pushups

With 50 foot handstand walk at the end of each round of the three (3) rounds

11 Minute Time Cap

Ages 15-16 and 40 to 49

For Time 9 / 15 / 21 of

Bar muscle ups

Strict handstand pushups

With 50 foot handstand walk at the end of each round of the three (3) rounds

Ages 50+

Chest to Bar Pullups

Handstand pushups (Any method)

With 50 foot handstand walk at the end of each round of the three (3) rounds

Test 4: Mixed Modal presented by: WODBar

Ages 17 to 49

For Time Three (3) rounds of

25 alternating single arm dumbbell snatches (50 lbs / 35 lbs)

50 foot single arm overhead walking lunges (50 lbs / 35 lbs)

50 double unders

25 toes to bar

14 Minute Time Cap

Ages 15-16 and 50+

For Time Three (3) rounds of

25 alternating single arm dumbbell snatches (35 lbs / 25 lbs)

50 foot single arm overhead walking lunges (35 lbs / 25 lbs)

50 double unders

25 toes to bar
